Earl Y. Chassis lies abondoned in the foreground, neglected and all alone. His parents have disowned him. The psychological trauma effected his school grades and now causes him to be emotionally detatched from his peers. He lives in a small appartment with his cat in downtown Altanta, largely unemployable because of his mental state. Also, Chief Engineer Ryan receives some advice about the lifting mechanism.
